The first appearance of W. B. Yeats’s The Tower, a poet’s song against the perception of age, the inevitable passing, and Ballyee Castle, a Norman castle purchased and restored by Yeats in 1917. The same poem also gave its name to Yeats’s 1928 collection, his first after his receiving the Noble Prize for Literature in 1923. A very good copy, wear to the edges of the oversized wrappers; some cracking to the spine; wrappers a little grubbied; pencil inscription to front cover. Internally clean, but with light pressure creases.
