Foreword by the editor, then curator of Kettle’s Yard, with further essays by Serge Faucherau (trans. Anne Bain), Sarah Shalgosky, Rod Brookes, and Jane Beckett on Gaudier’s animalist influences and the making of Gaudier into an ‘artistic subject’. Illustrated with a number of Gaudier’s sculptures, drawings, and portraits, including that of Pound. Near fine.
