From the library of A. David Moody
20 volumes consecutive and complete across 45 issues. Founded by C. F. Terrell, Sagetrieb served as compliment the Pound-centric nature of Paideuma, published in the same format with similar sectioning, bringing in a greater range of scholarship on writers such as W. C. Williams, H. D. (especially), Louis Zukofsky, George Oppen, Marianne Moore, Charles Reznikoff, Charles Olson, e. e. cummings, Basil Bunting, and on.
Primarily edited by Burton Hatlen (1936-2008) under Terrell’s aegis, the last issue (contents same as Paideuma Vol. 40) a tribute to Hatlen edited by Demetres Tryphonopoulos.
Most copies near fine; a little spotting on the covers of the older ones, cover of Vol. 5 No. 2 creased, the spine of the Marianne Moore Special Issue partly damaged. With the issue of “Bean News” laid-into the back of Vol. 15 No. 3.
