A special issue of Poetry for its inclusion of one contribution, Frances Gregg’s poem “To H. D.” which publicises the pains of Gregg’s unrequited roundelling love for Doolittle. H.D., EP and F.G. all affected for each other at some point during their upbringings in Pennsylvania, with Gregg being given EP’s handmade Hilda’s Book by Doolittle for safe-keeping, which was buried in a shell blast in Plymouth which killed Gregg and her mother, 1941.
Part of the paper covering the spine lost, but a very nice copy.
